Establishes Orphanages

Children living in the rural areas have almost no resources or ways of getting to missionary aid. In light of this crisis, FGIM is opening an all girls girls orphanage in downtown Port-au-Prince to remove 20-30 little girls from the streets.

Description

As you know, families and individuals in the country of Haiti go without proper food, shelter, and essential medical care every day due to a variety of factors. The earthquake that devastated the country on January 12, 2010 added to what was already a very disadvantaged nation. This has caused many children and families to go uncared for in the streets of Port-au-Prince and that is why we are working very hard to aid them with all of the resources that we have. Items such as water, food, clothes, blankets, pillows, sleeping bags and bibles are among the resources that we send out to the children annually.
It has come to our attention that many children are being mistreated and are homeless in the downtown area of Port-au-Prince. Children living in the rural areas have almost no resources or ways of getting to missionary aid. In light of this crisis, FGIM is opening an all girls orphanage in downtown Port-au-Prince to remove 20-30 little girls from the streets and provide them with a place to eat, learn, play, and call home. We need your help to make this happen!
